On August 28, 2024, the Chilean Association of Information Technologies (ACTI), the leading organization in the ICT sector in Chile with a 40-year history, presented the TECH AWARD 2024.
Leaders from both private and public institutions participated in the event, including the Minister of Science, Aisén Etcheverry. This year, some of the most important universities and innovation centers in the country joined the jury.
Rayen Salud, the undisputed technological leader in public health in Chile, and its Emilia Initiative, which involves the intensive use of artificial intelligence technologies (including generative AI), won the TECH AWARD 2024 in the Digital Transformation category, due to the experimentally proven effects of efficiency and added value in a sector as sensitive as healthcare.
It should be noted that this achievement was made possible from a technological standpoint thanks to the leading role of SCANVOX, a company incubated at Merlin Research and a commercial and technological partner of Rayen Salud. SCANVOX also maintains unique cooperation agreements with the Center for Voice Intelligence and Security at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, which is ranked number one globally in artificial intelligence.
This award confirms the value of synergies between companies and organizations that invest heavily in research and development (R&D) and cutting-edge technologies to transform and improve the quality of life, especially for the social sectors that need it most.
